Oceans5 is continuously looking for motivated and skilled operators to strengthen our growing team. As a Cable Operator, you will be directly involved in the execution of complex offshore projects, from cable load-out and installation to protection and maintenance of marine infrastructure.
This is a role for those who thrive offshore, enjoy hands-on technical work, and want to be part of a team that values both operational excellence and collaboration between engineers and operators.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain key equipment such as tensioners, carousels, winches and other deck machinery
- Perform general cable handling, rigging, and deck operations
- Support offshore construction and installation projects, including large-scale wind farms
- Contribute to safety culture and ensure high HSE standards are met at all times
- Participate in knowledge sharing and close collaboration across disciplines
Qualifications
- Relevant trade certificate is an advantage
- Valid offshore safety training and medical certificate are required
- Experience with cable handling, rigging or offshore operations is an advantage
- Proficiency in Norwegian and English, spoken and written
- Relevant courses such as rigging, forklift or aerial work platforms are an advantage
